Site of Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD)Railroad viaduct (trestle) over Potomac Yard. W&OD railroad trains crossed over Potomac Yard on a long trestle at this location while traveling between Old Town Alexandria and Arlington, Falls Church, Vienna, Herndon, Leesburg, Purcellville and Bluemont, VA. The W&OD closed in 1968. Potomac Yard closed in 1989.
