The vaulted chapel of the royal Bohemian martyr St Ludmilla is decorted with 16th-century paintings. The building of St George's Church began before 920, in the reign of Prince Vratislav, making it the oldest remaining part of Prague Castle. Its two distict light-colored stone towers date from after the 1142 fire.
