The congegation started in 1852, was founded by the historic St. John's Anglican Church in Sandwich to meet the growing needs of the population of Windsor, and to save the peoples of the tiny village the hardships of travelling all the way to Sandwich to receive service, which was a quite the task back in 1852.
This beautiful and historic church was built and dedicated in 1857. In 1875, the north and south transepts and bell tower were added giving the church its present facade.
