 roller coaster, 1977_construction

Disneyland's roller coaster is Disney's second Space Mountain attraction. A replica of Disneyland's version was built in Hong Kong DIsneyland in 2005. The ride is notable for being one of the first coasters to have an on-board soundtrack. Dick Dale wrote the music for the ride between 1996-2005. Film composer Michael Giacchino wrote the music from 2005-present. The coaster has had temporary themed overlays, including a Ghost Galaxy theme during Halloween, and a version called Hyperspace Mountain, themed to Star Wars.
