  • There is a big mistake in the description of temple. Here Lord siva and Krishna is main daities. It should not said as only krishna temple.
  • If you look back in history, till last 7-8 years ago, Lord Krishna was the main diety. The major festival was for Lord Krishna and the temple was called "Cherathrikovil Sreekrishna Swamy Kshetram". In the past 7-8 years, the temple trustees are giving prominence to Lord Siva as well as other dieties like Naga, Ganesha etc during appropriate periods. Renjith Menon may correct this description if he feels so.
  • It was a mistake by devotees. people in mistake believed the temple as sree krishna's. But temple history says that both the lords have equal importance here. Infact temple had only the presence of lord siva on ancient time. Lord vishnu's installation was done here later. Astamangala Prasham had clearly revealed all these things. Mr. Premod may check this with temple documents. please check the custom of poojas done in temple which will give you a clear picture on this. It is correct that annual festival is only conducted for lord vishnu. But internal poojas during the time of festival is done for both dieties with equal importance.
