Plano is a city located in the U.S. state of Texas, mainly within Collin County, but also extending into Denton County. It is a suburb of Dallas, Texas. According to the 2000 U.S. Census, the city population was 222,030, making it the ninth largest city in Texas, and the seventieth most populous city in the United States; it had grown to 250,096 in the 2005 census estimate. Plano is within the Dallas–Plano–Irving metropolitan division of the Dallas–Fort Worth–Arlington metropolitan area, a title designated by the U.S. Census, and is colloquially referred to as the Metroplex. The city is home to many corporate headquarters, including Cadbury Schweppes, Ericsson, Perot Systems, Electronic Data Systems, Frito-Lay, Cinemark Theatres, and JCPenney.

  • Plano is a blackhole for happyness.. it takes all joy away from you. The education system is stupid, the kids are rich and drugged out all the time, and the night life is terrible.

  • Plano is the Richest City of United States and West Plano is the most desirable city in the United State of America. I love it, I moved from Los Angeles, Ca and I felt "This is the TRUE United States City". Best Schools(I am talking about Public Schools), Good roads, hospitals, businesses, jobs and moderate traffic. Also safe and most IT personals, CEO, Doctors and wealthy people lives here. Lots of people from India subcontinent and Asian also lives here. There 2 mosques in Plano. West side is very active. Active program for other relegion participation, politics(local) and good relations with locals.
  • looks very ugly. open, flat, endless subdivisions, I would absolutely hate to live here, thank god i don't. But it begs the questions, if it is such a wealthy community, why don't the rich people use their money to live somewhere nice?

  • What's there not to love about Plano. The government, schools, infrastructure, facilities, retail, job opportunities... all are outstanding. Been here since 2000 after living and traveling throughout the world and I couldn't be happier...
