reservoir, pond
Still visible in this satellite image, this freshwater pond will be gone in November 2008.
(Muddy Hollow was well named. The trail could be VERY muddy in the rainy season.)
The old muddy trail will be replaced by a bridge, from the parking lot to the beach, to be built by Hanford Construction.
Hanford will also remove the dam, so that the endangered coho salmon and steelhead trout can again use Muddy Hollow Creek for spawning.
