Ulhasnagar is a city located in Western India, approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) northeast of the City of Mumbai (Bombay), in the Thane district in the state of Maharashtra. Ulhasnagar, also referred as Sindhunagar, has an estimated population of 472,943 people (2001). The name derives from the Ulhas river which flows near it. The town was mainly set up as a rehabilitation area for Sindhi community who migrated into India from Sindh in Pakistan due to Partition

  • Hey! i am glad to know that my UNR is famous for DUPLICATE THINGS. i am sure that whoever had expressed this , he might had come from heaven bcoz thats the only place where there are no duplicate things . Hats off to Sindhi's who has put their hardships behind ( expelled from Pakistan after partition )& with their relentless efforts & excellent business acumen has turned/ created a place like this in India . All the other metros has more illegal contruction & unlawfulness than Ulhasnagar . Yet every one loves to point out Ulhasnagar. Only flaw is the cleanliness or the lack of it . I sincerely hope the concerned authorities will take stringent actions & involve the citizens to achieve the target of having a cleaner & greener U L H A S N A G A R .

I feel that people must come forward to solve problem of unauthorised construction, load shedding(electrical). carporation electrical DEPT. is good as they are certified with ISO.i am born & brought up in UNR-5 so i love ulhasnager.

  • UNR is a place full of Dust, croud, 'potty' 's by children on road side, heavy politecs, un-even roads, messey places, all buy-and-sell of mearchants, n-no. of classes(i guess more then students),oh-nest proffessionals, regular traffic, love among people(heartly), and above all love & life of urs in city is a significint award of 'bravery' to live in a love-for-all "live city of UNR" I STILL LOVE MY CITY. after all its mine yaar..!

  • UNR is full of illegal building and constructions. People break rules easily and does not respect law. One can find weddings, parties going upto late night. Minor kids riding Motorbike. Dirty and congested roads.

  • Now, I reside in Jaipur. But Ulhasnagar is Ulhasnagar - (means) - a place of happiness. Actually it is really. I just love this city. Every person is just unique in himself. You can only understand it, when you will live in it. So, come and enjoy at the cheaper rates than usually. I miss it because there is someone in ulhasnagar whom i miss very much.

  • Ulhasnagar is one of the best places in Thane dist, you have all the facilities required for common mans daily life. Many things in Mumbai city is being manufactured and supplied from Ulhasnagar. It is safe for all boys and girls even it is early morning 5 O clock or late night 12 O clock. You will find all communities having their worship place like Ayyappa Temple at Lalchakki and follower lane for south indians, Gurudwara at Unr 3 & 4 for sikhs, Radhasoami darbar, churches,masjids & many temples, there are also many schools, best colleges of Thane dist. Ideal place to stay for any community.

  • me befo wirting something bout UNR i red what others hve wrote for it, n m seriously agreed wit them coz i was born in rajkot buh brought up in UNR, i would like to thanks to god for tat, tat he gave me such a nice superbbbbbbbbb, onetas, place to stay.... there r many fuc*** places to hang out buh the most i love is GOL MAIDAN...the gals ovea there, the snakcs ovea de(my mouth is watering)awesum, ne thing ur heart says u will get it... what all we dont have late nite parties, late nite hang out wit friends, n then the festivals which are celebrated in such a way, feel like they only belong to UNR people, festival ganesha fish man i say u i m gona miss it toooooooooooooooooooooooo much.... we people use to wait for this festival very egarley... people say that holi is played nice in up n mp states i say f**k up wit u guys come n some times play wit us UNR guys ur gonna foget all other...... i would write more buh i think i should leave some space for others too.

  • It is true that UNR has no future with the garbage and smelly street and also the speed braker, very true how can i forget the roads of UNR so bad, It is my message to all political People plz stop increasing ur bank balance by corruption and make future of ulhasnagar. We don't have big hospital no facility of big hospital is very dangerous for all UNR people coz tragedy may cause ti any body for this we have to run in mumbai for the better treatment, plz make roads beautiful atleast vehicles may run smoothly.Not a proper school were parents should be satisfied from their education system. So, Mr. Kumar Ailani the MLA OF UNR do it fast but before next election, other wise the ball will be in another court

  • SurajGirase I leave here town is full of noise, all type of Business Carried here. unr is day earning is much more than Mumbai except the case is n number of people are illetrate, but they how earn money. you will see that worlds best luxirous cars sports bike people move around the road you'll find. unr Can be USA not only by name but also by other developing infrastructure & literacy, Skill , Standrad of living of people. YOU WILL FIND THAT IF ALL THIS WORK IS BEING DONE THAN ALL PEOPLE WILL DESIROUS TO COME IN UNR AND LIVE than within town people never wanted to left town for search of work in Mumbai city. I WANT SHARE ONE THING THAT UNR DAY INCOME IS MUCH MORE THAN THE MUMBAI CITY EARNS.
