This was probably part of Lake Louisa when water levels were high until road 27 was built between them and cutting the marsh off, the marsh still floods a little on it's own now and then after enough rainfall. Only two of it's many basins are named.
It's possible for it to be drained into Flat Lake to it's east by building a canal connecting them.
