Elias-Ponrose house, garden, pond

This is the house of Elias Master (teacher at St. Anthony's College) and Ponrose Teacher. Their agricultural plot where they grew onions, chilies and tobacco and the irrigation pond are visible. The Elias couple ran for their lives in 1991 when the Sri Lankan army forcibly occupied the Island of Kayts. The occupation continues to date, Mrs. Ponrose passed away in 2002, and Mr. Elias(83)lives in exile in USA.
