Makkah is the place which captures the hearts of more than one billion Muslims living i all over the globe. It is the place where Allah revealed to Muhammad and it is now the location of the Holy Mosque and the scared Kaaba. It is also the destination of millions of pilgrims.nnAllah has honored it in His Holy Book (Quran), in which it is given eleven different names, including: Makkah, Bakkah, Al-Balad Al-Amin, Al-Balad Al-Ameen, Al-Haram Al-Amain and Um-Al-Qura. Allh also refers to Makkah in several verses of the Holy Quran using other names, and has sworn on its name, thus giving a unique status unrivalled by any other city in the world. Al-Haram, or holy area of Makkah, is a sanctuary in which violence is not permitted. The word haram carries the dual meaning of forbidden and sacred. As a symbol of ritual purification and is the main Muslim shrine.nDuring the pilgrimage, millions of Muslims from around the world visit the Grand Mosque in Makkah. Located inside the mosque is the Ka'aba, which all Muslims believe was the first house of monotheistic worship. The Ka'abah, standing at the center of the Holy Mosque, was, is and will remain the heart of Islam
