  Crimes against humanity? Slave labor? That's a bit much. As someone who used to work at Wynne, I can say the inmates do work that millions of other Americans do in the free world, and have their down time, just like their free counterparts. And why shouldn't they work? Should they just sit idle all day, watching television? There are a lot of legitimate problems with the prison service that you could have brought up, but histrionics like 'crimes against humanity' isn't helping to solve those. Clearly you've never worked in a prison.
