Reading City Branch (Abandoned) (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

The Reading Railroad's City branch was mainly a freight branch that serviced several Center City businesses and industries. The branch was also an alternative mean for passenger trains to access the Reading Terminal, as well as a connection for the B&O to access points north of Philadelphia, via a connection to the Reading Viaduct.

The tracks were removed by Conrail around 1980 and SEPTA later purchased a segment of the right-of-way, although much of it has now been built over and there are no immediate plans for the branch.
