Riverview Center (Menands, New York)

USA / New York / Menands / Menands, New York / Broadway, 150
 office building, interesting place

This art-deco building was built in 1929 to house a Montgomery Wards and distribution center. As "Monkey Wards" fell into economic trouble in the 1980s, it was sold off to a developer, who maintained the facade and subdivided the interior for office and warehouse space.

It is now called the "Riverview Center", but it's still a great example of 1920's art-deco commercial architecture.

  • It's massive, and is by far the largest building in between Albany and Troy.
