  • We're proud to have him buried in the town he was born in.
  • I thought I knew a fair amount about WWII, having been born in 1936 and grown up in London during the war. Of cours I have seen many, many movies and documetaries about the war and thought I "knew it all" - including D-Day. That was until I visited Normandy June 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th 2015 and learned what REALLY happened and what the boys REALLY did - including Major Richard Winters. My admiration for him and ALL his fellow soldiers from ALL the allied countries knows no bounds and no limits. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
