The "Desa Wisata" (Tourist Village) is a means for lodging both for individuals as well as for group tourists by offering a typical quiet and comfortable rural ambience. It is located within the TMII area and is suitable as a place to rest, especially for tourists from other regions of Indonesia who want to spare more time.

The "Desa Wisata" occupies an area of 3 hectares with complete facilities, among others a multipurpose hall with a capacity for 600 persons, a jogging track, a volley-ball court, an open stage and a restaurant serving various dishes from the Indonesian Archipelago. Besides there is a flat green grass court for "outing" activities such as campfire, "camping ground" and gatherings; the "Ramayana" open stage with a capacity for 400 persons; a fishpond in the middle of the lodging area as a means for fishing complete with processing services: roasting, frying and fish wrapped in banana leaf and roasted ("pepes").

With the beautiful and calm outside space arrangement and a rural ambience, the hostel is an ideal and comfortable place for various activities such as seminars, trainings, family gatherings, sports and wedding receptions. The facility is rather often used by offices in Jakarta for various meetings and get-togethers.

The "Desa Wisata" has 32 cabins in the form of barracks non-AC rooms, standard AC rooms, VIP rooms and cottages able to accommodate 416 guests at a relatively low rate. For visitors who want to relax and go out for recreation in TMII for a couple of days, the "Desa Wisata" Hostel is the most ideal place.
