archaeological site, Roman Empire
Archaelogical site with Punic, Roman, Visigothic and c.16th ruins.
First uncovered in 1927, the site has only been recently uncovered in a systematic way, and even then only about 5% of the site has been excavated. From my visit I'd say it has the same potential as Fishbourne Roman palace in the UK.
