Dr Sree Sree Shivakumara Swamiji is the present head of Sree Siddaganga Mutt in Tumkur Dist.Karnataka Born in 1907, Sree Swamiji has devoted more than 75 years of his age to the fruitful service of humanity, hard work and disciplined life. His concern for the poor and the down trodden are utmost. Endowed with sound collegiate education in English, Sanskrit and Kannada, Sree Swamiji has developed educational institutions in which the students are exposed to a wide spectrum of knowledge- right from traditional learning of Sanskrit to the modern science and technology. With his catholic outlook Sree Swamiji has earned the goodwill and respect of people of all faiths and communities. His Guru Kula houses more than 8000 children of age group 5 to 16 years in all cast creeds, who get free food, education and shelter and above all the moral blessings of the Sree Swamiji. It is his commitment to the service of humanity that enables Sree Swamiji to go through the eighteen hours a day work schedule even at his 99 years of age and Founder of the Sree Siddaganga Education Society
On his centenary in 2007, Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Swamiji the Government of Karnataka awarded him the prestigious Karnataka Ratna award, the highest civilian award of the state.

Not Karnataka Rathna,Bharathar Rathna even Noble Prize is equal or substitute his services to humankind. There is no greater person now available on the earth to award prize to him,he does not expect also anything or any recognisition, publicity from any one. we all people of karnataka and India are lucky and should thank the almighty to have given us an golden opportunity to see such great saint living with us in this age and we wish and pray that, let God give him more blessing with great health and long life to him .
