Completed in 1842, and submerged in 1905 by the New Croton Dam's completion. Approximately 30 feet below the water surface, the old dam is intact at this site, with its spillway parallel to the Gate House Bridge, and about 50 feet to the southeast.
The portion of Arcady Road which is in the lower left corner of the map rectangle was destroyed during Hurricane Floyd (1999) and has not been repaired. It is now closed to car traffic.
