  • Hi Niraj yours too is a million dollar question. I had been to the site on 14 Jan 2012. It appeared that all the construction work had come to a GRINDING HALT. Therefore possession by 2013 appears to be very very doubtful. I have read a similar message on another blog. However, has anybody been to the site recently? and does any body have any news about the progress of construction work ????????????

  • Construction work is slow in all projects in MMR region but this HDIL project Phase -1 will be completed on time.
  • Thanks for the message Mr Murlidhar and thanks for this message which is filled with hope. However, I am sorry to say that your message is silent about the progress of the construction work.While you say that the work is slow, please inform whether any construction work is taking place at all; or, has the construction COME TO A GRINDING HALT!. Slow or fast is not the question. The question is , will any body see any construction work at all, if one visits the site; or, will one get the impression of an abandoned project on visiting the site. Please do not duck this question if at all you wish to post a message in this regard.
  • I also visited site about 2 weeks back. Very few people were on site indicating no visible activity. Murlidhar ji can throw some light on this issue.
  • Thanks a lot for that update PAM. I can fully understand the meaning of your message. I have been wanting to visit the site but was hesitant to do so, because I was almost sure that I would not see any construction activity. Your message has confirmed my doubts. Murlidhar Ji posts messages on other blogs as well . Look at the second message in this blog and look at his most recent message they are diametrically opposite. I fell that he posts messages that are misleading. Wonder why does he does that. Any way, let us see what message he posts regarding the construction activity. In the mean time, if any body visits the site, please post messages regarding the progress of the construction work construction work. It will save many a trip to our so called PARADISE CITY.

  • Hi Sakshi. Thanks for your question. Have you read my messages above ? I too and few others are looking for answers, and all the questions are a MILLION DOLLAR questions. Probably there is one guy who may try to answer these questions and that is the one and only; MURILDHAR.... JI. He continues to post messages on other blogs. Wonder what he has to say to questions like yours and wonder why he is not posting messages in this blog. My question is, WHAT IS OUR FATE. FROM WHAT IS BEING REPORTED AND WHAT I SEE ,I PRAY THAT WE HAVE NOT BEEN TAKEN FOR A RIDE.THEREFORE IT IS A REQUEST TO PEOPLE VISITING THE SITE; PLEASE POST MESSAGES REGARDING THE PROGRESS OF THE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY, SO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO BOOKED WILL GET TO KNOW THE FACTUAL POSITION WITHOUT ACTUALLY HAVING TO VISIT THE SITE. I HAD REPORTED EARLIER, THAT I HAD BEEN TO THE SITE ON 14 JAN 2012 AND IT APPEARED THAT THE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY HAD COME TO A GRINDING HALT.   • ‎2day I inquired at Kurla office and at Palghar office they are saying that it will take still one and half year to complete the buildings. They are not giving any constructive reason for the delay.
  • Hi friends...i stay at palghar...currently out of station..m going home on 5th june...i went in march and my building work in sec 2 was halted.i will tell u progress on 5th

  • Visited site last week found the work in all 6 sectors have come to a total halt. Seems that no work has taken place in the past 6 months. Spoke to a representative of the contractor who said as HDIL has not been paying them they for quite some time they have no option but to stop work and move their men to other sites. He also said that they had worked with HDIL before on other sites and had no problem then. HDIL Virar west site where 70 to 80 % work is completed also is facing the same problem. Seems that the company is in the middle of a great financial crisis like Kingfisher. Only hope for people like us is that the company comes out of this crisis and fulfills its commitment as soon as possible.
  • tej work s stopped from last 6motnhs even i had asked the same question visited six monhs back and got the same reply do u think hdil will come out of crisis and we will get our possession time
  • pp sorry to disappoint you but is seems nothing sort of a miracle will be required for work to start soon. They may commence work in a year or two after they come out of the crisis and we may get our flats 2 year after that ie around Dec 2015. Their story reminds me of a famous jeweler of great reputation in Dadar West popular among Maharastration's who had gone through a similar crisis about 28 years ago who now has a chain of shops in Maharastra & Goa.HOPE IS THE ONLY ANSWER AT PRESENT.

  • hi all.. I have made initial booking payment of INR 1 lak in April 2012 and have yet not got any payment order from them for balance payment of 20% ( after 45 days ) . Unsure why is that so and also after reading the above comments we are quite anxious on the status of the project . I would like to follow this forum and would appreciate on any updates that may be available on the project

  • I visited the site last week and there is no worker anywhere. Work on a site next to it is in full swing. They said the work will start after Diwali. Hope for the best.
  • sakshu u r right they are not giving any proper reply also they are now demanding for vat and service tax ,when the work will start is not sure , even bank are not ready to disburse the loan

  • I have just visited the place ....the work has stopped because of rains. It is going to start again in Novemeber 2012. So dont worry everything in place.
  • Thanks for the very heartening news GSG , however, are you sure that the work has stopped because of the rains and the work is going to start again in November ?. Hope this company has not done a "KHOSLA KA GHOSLA" to all of us. Guys please update and let us know whether there is any legal recourse in case the possession not given as per the agreement as per the company.
  • Work stoppage is not because of rains, as work stopped more than a year back.Though at site office staff try to convince that work will start in Oct.2012.( This was when we visited middle of Sep. 2012). There is some issue for sure.
  • HDFC has taken my application and approves the home loan ....means this project is not blacklisted by banks...So i hope work will start soon .
  • PAM, I am also of the same opinion as you.There is surely some .The sales office guys have been saying this since last year regarding the commencement of work. The bright spot however is Gaurav's message above. Indeed if HDFC has approved the home loan then there is still some hope. Guys please keep posting updates . Many of us are eager to know the latest position. If any one visits the site please post the most recent status ie. whether or not the work has resumed.
  • I have recd phone calls from HDIL asking me to pay for the installments. I told them to send me a letter with construction certificate. Last week I recd a letter, dated in August. Total unprofessionals. Have decided not to pay till construction begins. Any thoughts?
  • What or which installment are you being asked to pay ? According to the agreement we are supposed to pay the installments only after the completion of the work. Which is your building and in which Phase.What is the construction status of yout flat?. Before you pay up , in my opinion please take time off and go to the site and find out what are you being asked to pay for . Is there any construction activity taking place at all, and please inform on this blog.
  • It is worrying that no progress is happening at the project? Meanwhile, is there something we can all get together and do to have some positive effect on the action there or cancel the booking?
  • People with legal knowledge , please inform on this blog whether we can approach the consumer court in case we are not given possession of the flats as per the dates mentioned in the agreement. Through this blog all the people affected can make a common approach to the court . Not only will the expenses be less , but it will also be more effective. People visiting the site please post messages on this blog regarding the construction activity if any.
  • HDIL has demanded interest on delayed payment of VAT. I got demand for the interest on delayed payment of VAT. I have paid it today. But demanding penalty interest from buyers is not correct. As buyer's have already paid VAT as per demand note, immediately without making delay. Raising demand note for VAT at right time is the responsibility of HDIL. If HDIL has demanded VAT late, then how come buyer's are responsible for that. Last date for payment of VAT is 31st October is for Developers and not for buyers. If all this is the case then why the buyer's are paying for it?
  • Hi Sakshu, I too paid the interest on VAT today. I enquired at the office as to why should the buyers pay the interest because it was HDIL who was late in issuing the demand for VAT. The reply I got was " Actually no body is at fault neither HDIL nor the buyer. When the Govt. brought out the notification for payment of VAT , the builders went to court, however the court ruled in favour of the Govt. Hence the delay in demand for vat and accordingly the interest is levied". I don't find this explanation OK because when the matter is before the court the notification will automatically go on hold and should come into effect only after the decision of the court. Any all this apart, When I inquired about the date of possession of the flats HDIL says " Don't worry the flats will be given as per the agreement". SO What is the hope of getting our flats as per the dates mentioned in the agreement? Someone please update us in this regard

  • I had wisited the site in september,the work was in progress but tooooooo slow and they are promising for possession of flats for sector 1 & 6 at the end of march 2014. It is unbelivable, if any further update after september 2013 let me know.

  • I think HDIL has no intention of handing over or completing the project in next any number of years. They will start more and more new constructions and advertise, take the initial payments from the bakhras which appear for booking and move on to new projects. They seem to have problem in every project.
  • I really think HDIL is not giving proper response, when ever we call they keep on extending the possession date. God only know the fate of this project.
  • HDIL has stopped the construction of all the flats including that of Palghar. Visited Andheri, Kurla and Palghar sites. There are flats available for rates at par or slightly lower than initial booking rate in 2010.

  • They have not given possession of single flat till now, i have recently visited the site the work is going toooooooo slow, that to only in sector 1, the representative provide us the false details that the possession will be given in 2015.
