The British University in Egypt - BUC is a private university in El Sherouk, Greater Cairo, Egypt. Founded in September 2005, the university campus covers approximately 40 acres (fedans) of land. The BUE currently has eight main faculties: Engineering, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Business Administration, Political Science, Economics,and Nursing. There is also an English Department that provides service teaching and support for the faculties. The University is developing an institutional research profile and a significant number of research-active staff have been engaged in academic positions.
