At a total length of 270 m (the second longest bridge in Paris after its homologue the Pont Aval), the Pont Amont was inaugurated in 1969. Interestingly, the bridge does not carry an official name, the title "Amont" (French for "upstream") has been added only via unofficial use, as that of its homologue "Aval", (French for "downstream").
