Until the spring of 2006, the one story brick home of Shoeless Joe Jackson stood here a few miles west. The home will open in 2007 as a museum to Shoeless Joe. Jackson died in this home of a heart attack in 1952, just days before making an appearance on the Ed Sullivan show, where he would again hope to make his case for his innocence in the 1919 "Black Sox" Scandal.
