After the signing of the Türkmenchay agreement, 25 Armenians (25 men, 25 women) were resettled from Iran to the Beksel village of Magala Deste; Armenians were resettled to the village of Danagyra, Magala Deste - 38 families (23 men, 84 women)

Founded in IV century A.D. in Goghtan district of Vaspurakan province of Historical Armenia as Dashtak village (Armenian: Դաշտակ, meaning: Field). Up to Persian Shah Abbas I's deportation of Armenian population of East Armenia (1603) this was clearly Armenian settlement. After the 1603's events there were mixed Armenian/Caucasian Tatar population. During the Armenian-Tatar(Azeri) clashes (1918-1920) Armenian population of the village was massacred by Caucasian Tatar that since the 1936 adopted name Azeris (after the province in north Iran names Azerbaijan).
