  • I found a photo of this sub. It appears to be a Katyusha Class submarine from WWII. From the photo, it looks now to be a museum. However, in the photo, there is a "13" painted on the conning tower. There is no 13 listed among the Katyusha boats.
  • This the K-21 Katyusha submarine commanded during WWII by N.A. Lunin (Hero of the Soviet Union). The submarine is part of the Courage Square (Ploshchad Muzhestva) memorial complex which also has an IL-4 bomber and the TK-12 motor torpedo boat. I've marked both of those on the map as well. Great pictures can be found of these various memorials with Google Image - keyword: "severomorsk"
