This is Shiva TEmple of first Chola dynasty, of 1000 years old, getting renovated now. this is known as kalichwaram of shiva, worshiped by Goddeses Kali. A navagkraha shethram, like Sri Kalahasti, AP. Sung by upper swamigal, Thirunavukkarasu. This is refered by R P Sethupillai.
The KALI and SANEESWARA are having seperate sannithis. the Sandikeswarar is with his consort. Though it is shetra for Navagraka, the navagraka were newly formed in that temple some 40 years ago

  • The 'KUMBABISHEKAM' of this temple was taken place on 12th June of 2011 after 64 years and the temple is now with a new face look and being worshiped by the poeple of that village and neibouring villages dailty and often. As KALI worshipped the Lord, in the same way our wish will get fulfilled. The KALI and SANEESWARA are having seperate sannithis. the Sandikeswarar is with his consort.
