Also called the Merry Christmas Mine. The Argus Gold Mining Company operated this mine from 1895 to 1896, installing a 5-stamp mill on the property. In 1913 and 1914, the mine was operated by the Snow Canyon Mining and Milling Company, Dallas, Texas. This company installed two aerial tram lines from mines to the mill.

From the California Journal of Mines and Geology, Vol. 47, No. 1, Jan. 1951:

12 claims are owned by John C. "Jack" Cress Estate and Mary E. Streger, Los Angeles, California (1938).

Two systems of quartz veins, each vein 2 to 4 feet wide, occur in a granitic rock, one system strikes N 50 degrees W, dips 70 to 75 degrees SW and the other strikes eastward, dips 70 degrees S. The ore consists of free gold associated with pyrite, chalcopyrite, and arsenopyrite. The workings, described by Tucker and Sampson*, include several adits and a 200-foot shaft.

The property is idle.
