The house was built after the 1812 fire. The right side of the main house dates from the 1830s. The right side was added in 1854 and the building was remodeled in the 1880s.

Historical and cultural value

During the 1920s and 30s the composer Shabalin, director of the Moscow Conservatory, lived here. His friend Dmitri Shostakovich often stayed with him when visiting Moscow.

The house was completely renovated recently and now has 8 apartments ranging from 115-550 square meters. There is underground parking and modern conveniences.
