The Sports and Recreation Center (German: Sport- und Erholungszentrum, SEZ) is a complex of buildings in Berlin-Friedrichshain. It is build during the GDR era, and it houses several facilities for various sports and recreation.
The complex has swimming pools, sauna's, an ice skating ring, sport halls, gyms, martial arts school, ballet school, bowling alley and various other sport facilities.
The SEZ was for the residents of East Berlin and many GDR citizens of similar importance as the Palace of the Republic.
