USCG Station Honolulu is the Headquarters of US Coast Guard's 14th District as well as Sector Honolulu, which is responsible for an Area of Responsibility which includes all of the Hawaiian Islands and as far West as Wake Island and South to American Samoa.

In addition to several tenant commands, the station is also homeport for the Cutters USCGC Rush (WHEC-723), USCGC Jarvis (WHEC-725), USCGC Kukui (WLB-203), USCGC Walnut (WLB-205), USCGC Galveston Island (WPB 1349) and USCGC Ahi (WPB-87364). Along with a small boat unit and Marine Safety Team, Station Honolulu is also home to an Aids-to-Navigation team which services buoys and markers around the Hawaiian Islands.
