Also known as Villa du Soleil and Casa del Sol, the house was built between 1897 and 1907 (as per vintage Newport maps) by McKim, Mead & White. It was originally owned by Charles L. Baker (1860-1925), and later by his son-in-law, William J. Maloney until after 1932. (Remodeled 1930)
