Situated at an altitude of 7200 feet and a distance of 32 km from Almora town, On Almora- Bagashwar Road. After 23 km have a right turn and 9 km steep climb starts. Road passes through the dense forest of rhododendron trees, yes trees not buses, you can find here only in the world. Locally called buransh trees and full of flowers during mid Feb to mid April. Place having a tourist bungalow (all wood made) run by KMVN having comfortable accommodation. 3 km north to this is zero point, where you can see the mighty Nanda Devi peak (25ooo ft)and superb view of peaks like Trisul, Panchuli, Nadaghunti, Baljoria, Chukhamba and others with its full glory.
