Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory (locally known as "the firetower") is an observation point for the Eastern migration of birds of prey. Here, counts are made of the migrating birds. You can help with the count by showing up with binoculars and pointing out any raptors you see to the volunteer overseeing the count for verification. The tower is about a 20-minute walk in from the parking area off of the Waiteville Road (County Road 15) on Limestone Hill, about 5 miles from Zenith, WV.
