  • Please help us stop this development. These rich developers are operating from an Enviornmental Impact Report from 1991 and refuse to re-assess what their shady plans would do to the already park-deprived community. contact: eyanez@audubon.org
  • Build. Having E Debs park & Ascot hills around the corner should suffice. It is private property that should be used accordingly. Construction would be a pain for a while but having well heeled residents in the area will be a benefit. I live across the hills on Richard Dr. & while I will miss the view the added economic benefit to NELA makes it worthwhile in my view. I would like to hear opposing views.
  • 11.03.09 The City of Los Angeles is buying the 19 acres to preserve for OPEN SPACE. Thanks to Councilmember Huizar.
  • What a shame!! A few grumpy old people that are complete NIMBY's ruined it for the rest of us that would have benefited from higher property values. These same idiots that don't want construction are living in houses that were constructed on the same hillside!!!
  • I know this is old but I just read this. It's not a shame. I live and own a home in El Sereno. My back yard is ends where Elephant Hill begins. Evidently, you understand little about realestate values, but a few large homes looking down on you from the hills would not raise property values. However, a few acres of open space with hiking trails and hills teaming with native trees and shrubs will increase your property value expdentialy. In addition, with Elephant hill now a park what land is left to delelope is a premium.
  • How un-American of you all to deny a developer the opportunity to make money by sucking up and building on every single last untouched shred of LA. /sarcasm
