  • Loft-style townhouse condos. Building adapted to residential and redeveloped in 2006
  • Originally built as the Daniel Butler School in 1873, The building has been creatively adapted and reused over time to meet the changing needs of the town. Despite an expansion in 1895 to accommodate 127 students, the building could not meet the demands of a growing Waverley Square community. In 1906 a larger school, also named the Daniel Butler School, was built just a block away and the building was modified for use as a fire station. This 'temporary' use of the building lasted almost 100 years. During that time it was adapted several times to accommodate a library, food pantry, and other community needs. Although it served many uses in its 133 year history, the building is known and loved by most as the Waverley Square Fire Station.
