As a young woman, Hillary Rodham worked as a babysitter both after school and during her vacation breaks, summer vacation breaks, sometimes watching the children of migrant Mexicans brought to the Chicago area for itinerant work. In the affluent neighborhood she lived in she wasn't babysitting for field workers she was most likely sitting for housekeepers and gardeners hired by the neighbors. look up the house she grew up in. it is at least twice the size of the 1 bedroom my family of 5 grew up in.

mommatea 1 - I don't get your rant ? Hillary's Mother came from total poverty. Her father had a small drapery business. Hillary did NOT come from a rich family like Kennedy's or Trump's. - Independent Mike

Her dad was very successful - he paid cash for that home that the libs always photo from the side rather than the front so as to downplay it's actual size. They can't be truthful about anything and the photos taken of the side of the house just show how far they will go to deceive. LOL They are nothing but farce. The Rodham home was much grander than the home Trump grew up in.

It's a corner house. Actually looks smaller in the front and larger on the side. Just shows you how far people will go to condemn. Ash redmon should do more research and open his mind and his heart to seeking the truth rather than play follow the leader with the lying trumpsters.

Most of the lots and therefore houses are narrow and deep which does make the front elevation smaller than the side elevation. An HONEST photo of the house would have been take at a 45* angle to show its actual size. A lot of people in other parts of the country are not aware of this. Appears the lack of honesty lies with the Clinton campaign, Mike. Park Ridge is not the north shore but is still much more affluent than most of the Chicagoland villages so Hillary did NOT grow up poor. Far from it. Two more deceptions (lies) out of the Clinton camp. Just add them to the rest.

I grew up in Park Ridge in the 50s and 60s. Definitely not your North Shore wealthy suburb. However, the east side that bordered on Chicago seemed a bit better off than the west side where I grew up. As kids, we always thought her part of town was where the "rich" kids lived. I would describe PR as a town home to middle-class middle-managers, small business owners, family doctors and non-corporate lawyers. I hope she has finally given up her claim to be middle-class or middle-income. She isn't.

If you look up the info on the house it is 2500 square ft. It is not that big no matter what angle you take the picture from. Geeze

Just to debunk some right-wing conspiracy theories. The value of this home in 2016 would be $665,300. But did Hillary grow up in 2016? NO. Hillary was born in 1947. This price of this home in 1947 would be $62,131.78. It might even be less, after all, a famous person like Hillary Clintion growing up in a house could dramatically increase its value. Now, let's get to size. The average size of a house in the 60068 zip code is 7,074 square feet, so this house is on par with the average in the zip code. So, houses in the 60068 zip code tend to be bigger. Nothing wrong with that.

That was HUGE for that time -- most folks were in 1200 square feet ranches in the Chicago area....

Again, that was a huge house for that time period. Most families grew up in 1200 square foot ranch homes with a basement. Come on....

Was this the house where she said she remembers looking out her bedroom window to see the workers in the fields picking vegetables? Maybe her neighbors had potted tomatoes, but here were no 'feilds' anywhere near this busy and populated area. I had family in Park Ridge at that time and remember it well....

guest, uh Hillary, is that you?

Umm $62k in 1947??? Compare that what the dollar is equal to now vs then. That is EXPENSIVE! 15 years after that my middle class parents paid $8k for the house I was raised in. Clinton was NOT middle class. FAR FROM IT. She has NO clue. The size of the house was also humongous by standards of that time.
