Once the site of the Foleshill Gasworks, this location has now been redeveloped to house the Coventry Building Society Arena (The home of Coventry City Football Club) and Arena Shopping Park (a retail park). It was designed by Miller Partnership in 2005 at a cost of £113,000,000 and boasts an all-seater capacity of 32,609.
Coventry Building Society Arena is part of a complex that also contains an exhibition hall, a hotel, a leisure club, and a casino.

The name of the arena changed on May 5, 2021 from Ricoh Arena to Coventry Building Society Arena. The name change came into effect in summer 2021.
