This very large (590 acres) preserve consists of a series of watersheds filtering into Tyler Creek. The size, various soil types and the high water table bring great potential. In 1992 the commission approved a joint agreement between National Fish and Wildlife Service and Kane-DuPage Soil District to further create a wetland habitat. Located at the border of Elgin & Rutland Townships. Parking is off of Coombs Road, west of Randall Road. Paul Wolff Campgrounds is located within Burnidge, 1 mile west of Randall Road on Big Timber Road.
