Barangay Gaus, Gaus Island, President Carlos P. Garcia, Bohol

A population of more than 1,000; Gaus can be reached through motorized banca/pumpboat. Travel time to/from Pitogo Port would take about 30 minutes, Ubay Port is estimated at 1 hour, while Cebu Port is at 4 to 5 hours.

Community held their Barangay Fiestas on the 3rd and 25th of May of every year. Fluvial Parade circling around the island is celebrated on the 3rd of May in honor of the patron saint-Santa Cruz. Family members from far places devoted their time to visit and witness the yearly festivities. There are few good beaches(undeveloped) in the area that can cater family gathering.

Fishing is the usual livelihood of the residents; although some of them were into the field of teaching, science, health, engineering and maritime professions.
