Danforth Gardens Public School is located in an established neighbourhood consisting of houses and apartment buildings. During the next several years a new housing development located just west of Birchmount Avenue on Danforth Road will bring an increased number of students to the school. The school's back playing field is adjacent to the Albert Campbell Public Library and a shopping plaza. A path crossing our yard allows the community to access these facilities. The two storey building opened in 1957 and has had several additions since.
