Albuquerque Sportsplex (Proposed Casino)

Public softball fields and other sports facilities. The Sportsplex opened in 1985 and was purchased by Sandia Pueblo in 1998. Night games were discontinued in 2001 under pressure from the surrounding neigborhood and the complex closed in 2003. Sandia Pueblo is thinking about building a casino resort on this site to compete with with its other casino resort.
