Comcast Center is a skyscraper in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The building has 58 floors and a height of 975 ft (297 m). Its floor area is 1,250,000 sq ft (116,000 sq m). Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by Liberty Property Trust, the building was constructed from March 2005 to March 2008 at a cost of US$540,000,000. It has been the tallest building in Philadelphia since 2008. The building is the corporate headquarters of Comcast, who occupies 89% of the floor area.
The building's structure comprises a concrete core and a steel frame. Its esterior facade is a low-emissivity glass curtain wall. The building tapers inward towards the top and features two cutouts near the top on its north and south sides. The lower floors on the south side feature four stacked atriums. Its entrance is a 110 ft (34 m) tall winter garden. The building is equipped with 37 elevators and has an 87-space underground parking garage. The interior was designed by Daroff Design + DDI Architects and Gensler.
The building's winter garden entrance features the Comcast Experience (a high-definition LED screen) and Humanity in Motion by Jonathan Borofsky (ten human figures of ten horizontal poles on different levels in the atrium). The Market at the Comcast Center is on the ground floor and underground concourse. The building faces a half-acre public plaza which features the Plaza Cafe at Table 31. Between the cafe and the building entrance is a choreographed fountain designed by Wet Design. The building also has a 500-seat concourse-level dining court.
The Comcast Center is LEED Gold certified.
