DR. Babasaheb Ambedkar (Bust) statue was shifted here from Dr. Ambedkar Chowk nearby in NW direction. This was done to make way for 'Satis Bridge Project', which had become necessity for reducing traffic jams in this area.
Altough the chowk (square)is still named after the great person, his bust statue lies here in this place.
Obviously the celebrations on occasions of his birth day, Nirwan din etc are celebrated at this place.
The old Bust Statue was replaced by a full size standing statue in 2013. On 9th June 2013 this full size statue was unveiled in a function.
