  • The beginning of history of Pervomaisk to concern to 1765 when to one of officers Bahmutskogo hussar a shelf as rangovoj summer residences II have been allocated by Ekaterina a site of the ground. The newly appeared owner has brought with itself ten serfs and has named settlement the name-Aleksandrovka. Subsequently in vicinities of Aleksandrovka there were new settlements: Petrovka, Vasilevka, Laptevka, Kakievka. The first poselentsy at once have revealed the huge deposits of coal making the whole coal layers, laying practically on a surface. In 60th years of XIX century the first handicraft development of coal deposits begins. And their industrial development has begun in 1827 after " Petro-Marevka the society coal kopej " has constructed the first mine. Its structure included 5 mines: Maria, Inclined, Wolves, Kosatkin, Ernes. In the end of 19-th and the beginning of 20-th century the industry in territory modern Prevomajska developed quickly enough. In 1912 there were mines which extracted 34 million poods of coal, Iron and mechanical factories, mechanical workshops, 2 power stations, limy karer, 80 koksovyh furnaces, capacity of 500 poods everyone. The majority of mines was a part " society Petro-Marevka and the Barbarian Polish incorporated coal kopej ", and workers settlement began to refer to Petro-Marevka. In March, 1920 the settlement Petro-Marevka has been renamed into Pervomaisk, and per 1938, considering fast development of the coal industry and growth of the population, working settlement Pervomaisk on the basis of the Decree of Presidium of the Supreme body Ukrainian SSR became city of regional submission.
