This statue of Winston Churchill was sculpted by Welsh sculptor, Ivor Roberts-Jones, It was donated in 1977 by International Rivercenter, the company that built the Hilton on Poydras Street. International Rivercenter's co-managing partner, James S. Coleman, Jr., served as honorary British Consul for Louisiana.
