More than fifty years ago, a small group of people from the Coachella Valley felt that the natural hot springs found in Desert Hot Springs, California would be useful in the rehabilitation of children with polio. As a result, these visionaries incorporated a charitable foundation, named it "Angel View Crippled Children's Foundation" and constructed a 52-bed facility on donated land in Desert Hot Springs.

With the advent of the Salk vaccine, polio no longer posed the threat it once did to children. As a result, the focus of Angel View's original mission was broadened to include those children afflicted with a wide-range of physical and mental challenges.

Today, Angel View's 17 homes provide compassionate care in a family-like atmosphere and give our children and young adults a life of independence and a sense of family where they can live happy lives and reach their fullest potential.
