This L-shaped house in Sherman Oaks, Liberace designed himself and had built in 1953. He lived in the 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom 3,907 square foot home with his mother, Frances. There is a piano-shaped swimming pool in the back yard. Fans are reported to have hopped the fence to peek at the star and the house was deemed too accessible for such a world famous entertainer. Liberace moved out in 1958, leaving Frances here. Apparently, Frances was accosted by two masked men at the house in July of 1957. Earlier in the day Liberace had given a deposition in his libel case against "Confidential Magazine" which claimed the star was homosexual.
