  • brave is an extreme understatement for theese men. they gave their lives so that others may live. R.I.P.
  • Every single fireman from this small Chernobyl station showed up to fight the fire, in the early stages, when it was most dangerous. Many of them were sent up on to the reactor building roof to shoot water down into the hole. None of them had ever been given any warning or training on nuclear radiation. And none of them ever came back to the station.
