airport, historical layer / disappeared object
This used to be the location of the Springfield Airport. It closed in the 1970s and the property remained unused until the late 1990s because it was designated a toxic area as a result of DDT dumping by the cropdusters who used to fly out of it. The land was cleaned up, renovated, and sold to Wal-Mart who developed it.
