  • The bridge actually has only 13.8 stone balls! At a boozy dinner many years ago two undergraduates has bet how many balls there were. One said 14 and the other said it was less. Later that night he went to check and found there were indeed 14, so he spent the night cutting a small slice out of one ball in order to win the bet!
